About the dice roller

Lost the dice for a board game, or need a d20 for a tabletop session? This dice roller rolls up to 12 dice at once, choosing from d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d100. It adds up the total and keeps your last few rolls so nobody has to remember them.

How to use it

  1. Choose how many dice to roll with the minus and plus buttons.
  2. Pick the number of sides: d6 is an ordinary die, d20 the classic tabletop die.
  3. Press Roll. Each die is shown on its own, with the total underneath.
  4. Earlier rolls stay listed below, newest first, until you leave the page.

Questions

Are the rolls really random?

Yes. Each die uses your browser’s cryptographic random number generator, with a method that keeps every face exactly as likely as the others.

What does 2d6 mean?

It is shorthand for rolling two six-sided dice. The number before the d is how many dice, and the number after it is how many sides each one has.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers, with nothing to install.
